The 3 year old.

"Mommy,  I'm pretending this is gum."

Oops.

So, I haven't told this to anyone, I am so embarrassed, sort of.  I'm not even sure if I should lay the words to print for fear of being ridiculed for my lapse of judgement.  Ugh.

Ok here it is.  I walked into the kitchen at my work place the other day, and where the snacks/breakfast foods/pastries normally sit and there was a box of chocolates.  The chocolate covered macadamia nut kind, like from Hawaii or something.

No one was around and I thought, "oh how nice, someone brought chocolates!", they weren't opened so I popped of the plastic sealed wrap, opened them up and took one for myself and walked back to my desk.  Delicious!  How thoughtful of someone to be so generous and share...I should do that more often myself.

A couple hours later I went back into the kitchen to fill up my water bottle and as I was walking out I noticed the box of chocolates was GONE.  It struck me as odd, beings that I just opened that box not 2 hours before.  I mean I know that we're snackers at work, but usually things don't go so quickly.  So I checked the cupboard - not there.  I looked in a couple drawers below the area - not there.  Which makes me think - DID I OPEN SOMEONE CHOCOLATES THAT HAD JUST SAT THEM THERE TEMPORARILY?!  I can imagine the scenario - someone needs to use the bathroom - they walk in and set down their box of chocolates, and when they return they've been opened and one is removed!  I can only imagine what they're thinking.

So...let's keep this little secret between you and me - ok?
